The Pontiac Vibe was first introduced in 2002, but the model that was sold in the beginning was a 2003 one. This vehicle is still being produced today by the New United Motor Manufacturing Inc., also abbreviated as NUMMI, which is a collaboration of General Motors and Toyota. It has always been built in the California plant in the United States.
The Pontiac Vibe is classified as a compact car and comes in a four door hatchback style. The first generation of Vibe was built from 2003 until 2006 and there were three trim models offered.
