Pontiac Phoenix
The Pontiac Phoenix was produced by General Motors and was available from 1977 until 1984 and it was assembled in the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma plant in the United States. It was in the compact class of car and there were two generations of this model. In 1985 it was eventually replaced by the Grand Am.
The first generation Pontiac Phoenix was produced from 1977 until 1979. There were two body styles available, either the 2 door coupe or the 4 door sedan. The two engines used for this generation were a 3.8 L V6 and a 305 cc V8. There were also different transmissions available, the 4 speed manual and the 3 speed transmission came in both manual and automatic version.
The second generation of Pontiac Phoenix was built from 1980 to 1984 and was now either a 2 door coupe or a 5 door hatchback. There were different, and more economical, engines now available and they were the 2.5 L 4 cylinder and the 2.8 L V6. The transmissions were the same but with the exception that the 3 speed manual was no longer offered.
