Pontiac G6
The Pontiac G6 first went into production in the year 2005 and is classified as a mid-sized car from the Pontiac division of General Motors. It is actually put together in the Lake Orion, Michigan factory and there it is still being produced today.
The Pontiac G6 was the replacement car of the Grand Am and is built on the GM Epsilon platform. There are three body styles available for the G6 with different numbers of doors. There is the 2 door convertible, 2 door coupe and 4 door sedan. There are several engines used for the Pontiac G6 and they are spread out over a wide range of sizes and efficiencies. The smallest is a 2.4 L four cylinder and the largest is a 3.9 L V6, and in between are also various sizes and powers. The buyer can choose between automatic and manual transmissions. The sales were not bad for the Pontiac G6 and it even made it to be the 11th most often sold car in the US during its first year out on the market. The convertible also did well and was even the lowest priced car that had an automatically retracting roof.
