Pontiac Bonneville
The Pontiac Bonneville was produced by General Motors from 1957 up until 2005. It was at first a luxury car with first class everything and known as the Star Chief Custom Bonneville and was for its day quite lavish and expensive. In 1958 the Pontiac Bonneville went into the model lineup as its own model. It was classified as a full size car, something not surprising considering the fact that it was among the largest and heaviest cars ever built. The first Bonneville that went into series was about $3000 to buy, which was much less than its predecessor star chief, but this was due mostly to the fact that almost all of the lavishness was dropped, however, it was still luxurious enough at a fair price. Towards the end, the Pontiac Bonneville did not sell good, but not because of lack of interest, instead it was the lack of publicity from the General Motors side.
The Pontiac Bonneville came in many styles, but the most common body styles were the 2 door convertible, 2 door coupe and 4 door sedan. There were many engines and most of them were powerful, large V8 with around 300 hp.
