The Pontiac 1000 was produced between 1976 and 1987 by General Motors and assembled in the plants in Delaware and Georgia, both in the United States. It replaced the Pontiac Astre and was succeeded by different models, such as the Firefly, Lemans and Suburst. It was categorized into the subcompact class of cars.

The Pontiac 1000, also called by some the T1000 because it was built on the T-body platform, came in two body styles. There was the 3 door and 5 door hatchback version.
