Mazda RX8
The Mazda RX8 is built by the Mazda Motor Corporation in Hiroshima, Japan and was first introduced in 2003 and is still in production today. It is the successor of the RX7. The 2004 model, however, was the first one sold in North America. This has been a very praised car and it has won numerous awards around the world.
This model, the Mazda RX8, is classified as a sports car and is a 2 door coupe based on the FMR layout. Although it is a sports car, there are seats for four passengers, two in the back and two in the front. It is driven by a 1.3 L Renesis engine with 212 hp or a 1.3 L Renesis with 232 hp. There is either a 6 or 5 speed manual transmission or a 4 or 6 speed automatic transmission. There has been a new engine since 2006, but until now only sold to exclusive customers. It is called the Hydrogen RE and it runs on both hydrogen and gas and which is to be used can be chosen.
There are a few special trims available that have different names in different regions. There is the Shinka in the US, Evolve in the UK, and Sports Prestige Limited in Japan. There are only cosmetic differences between these special editions and the standard Mazda RX8.
