Mazda MX3
The Mazda MX3 was produced from 1992 until 1998 in Hiroshima, Japan by the Mazda Motor Corporation. It was classified as a compact sport car and has often been upgraded with larger engines so that it could even keep up with larger sports cars.
The Mazda MX3 was built on the EC platform and is officially considered a 3 door hatchback. Although it is a sports car, there are seats for the driver and three passengers. Standard engines were the 1.6 L V6 and 1.8 L V6, however, very often other larger more powerful engines were chosen. One example would be the 2.5 L V6 which gave the MX3 between 160 and 200 hp. Using this engine is what made the GSR trim, which was never actually a trim given by manufacturer to the Mazda MX3, but instead it was "official" among the drivers. Although the 5 speed manual was used for most of the MX3 cars built, there was a 4 speed automatic available.
