The Mazda CX9 was first introduced to the markets in the year 2007 by the Mazda Motor Corporation. It is assembled in the Hiroshima plant located in Japan and is the replacement of the Mazda MPV.

The Mazda CX9 is classified as a full-size crossover SUV and is built on the Ford CD3 platform. It has a 5 door body style which is the only version available.
