Chrysler New Yorker Salon:
The Chrysler New Yorker Salon was the New Yorker trim from 1990 until 1993 and the name Salon was only a reference used to identify this trim name from the others that were built at the time. It was one of a long list trims that were made from the base New Yorker which Chrysler has built since 1939, but discontinued in 1996. This car has for many years been a symbol of the high class luxury cars that Chrysler was known to have a reputation for. They are even known for their great standard features and comfortable ride and that made this car so perfect for leisure drivers or for families who were not necessarily looking for a sporting experience. It was classified as being a full sized sedan.
The Chrysler New Yorker Salon was a four door sedan which is based on the Chrysler C platform and comes equipped with a 3 or 4 speed automatic transmission. There was one main engine used for the Salon and that was the 3.3 L V6 which had 143 hp and made this car powerful enough for a decent driving experience.
There were many nice standard features, such as power windows, power steering, air conditioning and driver side air bags. There were of course other options, but the standard package was good to start with.
