Chrysler LeBaron GTS:
The Chrysler LeBaron GTS was built between 1985 and 1989 and although it belongs to the LeBaron family of cars, it is not like the rest of this line and cars and there are very distinguishing features.
Unlike the other models, the Chrysler LeBaron GTS was built on an H platform and not the K platform which the regular LeBaron cars used. The standard engine was a 2.2 L 4 cylinder inline engine and aterwards was replaced by a better 2.5 L engine that was added to the GTS model and which gave the car 93 hp. The GTS trim is meant to be the sportier version of the Chrysler LeBaron and so it was logical that eventually a 2.2 L turbocharged engine was available for this car and which powered it with 146 hp.
The Chrysler LeBaron GTS trim production was stopped in 1989. This is because that was the year that the K platform was dropped out of the LeBaron line and re-designed cars were going to be marketed.
