The Toyota Corona was produced from 1957 up until 2002. It was known worldwide, but was called by different names, such as Carina, in other markets. The Corona is hard to categorize since different parts of the world see it according their standards. In the United States the Toyota Corona was considered to be a compact car until 1983 and then afterwards, from 1983 - 2000 it was classified as a mid-sized car.
