Nissan 200SX
The Nissan vehicle was commonly known on the U.S. market in the year 1977 as the Datsun. Then with the introduction of the Nissan 200SX the Nissan brand became known. The vehicle is a 2-door sport coupe and this was in the first production not really a hot seller. The original did not do so well on the market due to the fact that Japanese imports were not as prevalent in the market in the United States as they are today. The vehicle was later redesigned and sold in the European and the Japanese markets with a lot better success. The vehicle was not sold under the 200SX brand in these areas but was re-branded and sold. It also found success in other areas such as Mexico and Australia under different names.
The Nissan 200SX that was sold in the United States was a vehicle that had a Z20E 2.0 liter engine that was a 4 cylinder engine as well. In later years the engine was expanded and this was to a 2.2 liter engine that became known as the Z22E. The vehicle then became more saleable and as such was popular. There are many of these vehicles still on the road today as well. The next major change was the offering of the option between two engine types in the years 1984 - 1986. After the two engine choices that were smaller there was a major upheaval and larger engines were offered in 1987 onwards. There were some change over the years but these vehicles are still well appreciated.
