Dodge Stratus Sedan
The Dodge Stratus Sedan was first introduced to the market in 1995 by the Chrysler Corporation and was continued by DaimlerChrysler after the car company fusion. It is classified as a mid-size car and is always built as a four door sedan. Production stopped in 2006 when the Stratus lineup was discontinued and replaced with Dodge Avenger. It is closely related to two other cars, the Chrysler Cirrus and Plymouth Breeze, both of which were discontinued before the Dodge Stratus. They were so closely related to each other that even many spare and replacement parts could be switched and interchanged with each other.
The Dodge Stratus Sedan had two generations. The first was produced between 1995 and 2001 in Michigan, USA and came on a Chrysler JA platform. There were two transmissions available (5 speed manual or 4 speed automatic) and four different engines ranging from a 2.0 L 4V to a 2.5 L 6V. The second generation was built between 2001 and 2006, also in Michigan. The platform was changed to the JR version and the there were now two less engine variations available, but the transmission options remained the same.
