It is a compact car built by Chevrolet and sold in various models starting from 1985 to 1989. It was sold under that name in the United States, and in many other countries under various other names such as Holden Gemini in Australia (1975-1984), and in New Zealand (1982-84), Opel Gemini in Malaysia and Thailand (1975), Opel Isuzu or Buick Opel in the US (1975), or Isuzu Imark, Isuzu Piazza and Isuzu Impulse. The car was available through Chevrolet as Spectrum in the United States, or later through Isuzu itself as I-Mark.

The R-body Gemini or Spectrum was introduced in 1985. The vehicle was equipped with a turbocharged engine, of 1.5 liters, another 1.5 liter engine and a diesel engine of 7 liters. An engine of 1.6 liters was introduced in 1987. These features were destined to adapt the design and graphic standards to the modern models.

Spectrum didn't need many options and equipment from I-Mark, though they were both equipped with 1.5 liter turbo and non-turbo engines. About 20 years ago the models briefly called LS and RS were available with Lotus improved suspensions, which supposed sportier, more inflexible dampers, different spring rates, and larger sway bars. The car is well known for its minimum gas consumption and full tanks at a minimum price.
