Chevy Colorado
The Chevy Colorado is mid-sized pickup truck which was put out on the market by General Motors in 2004. It was jointly designed by GM in North America, GM in Brazil and Isuzu. There are many versions of the Chevy Colorado available and something can be found for almost every taste, which could be the reason that in 2005 the Colorado was ranked the second most sold pickup in America.
There are different, powerful engines available for the Chevy Colorado. Originally there was a 175 hp (130 kW) and a 220 hp (164 kW) engine available for the models from 2004 - 2006, however, there are two new engines for the 2007 and later models. Now there is a 185 hp (134 kW) and a 242 hp (180 kW) to choose from. Not only can one choose between two engines, there are many other features and variations available. There are, for example, three bodystyles available: the standard, extended, and four-door crewcab versions. There is also a manual and automatic transmission available for the Chevy Colorado, as well as the option to choose between two wheel drive or four wheel drive.
For those more interested in sporty vehicles, the Chevy Colorado even comes in a special sport version, the ZQ8 edition. This sport package includes lower suspension, 17" wheels, low profile fender flares, and the grille and bumpers are painted to match colors with the rest of the pickup.
